GAMMA IOTA CHAPTER, SHOALS IN

This is a blog site for Gamma Iota Chapter, Psi Iota Xi, Shoals, Indiana. Gamma Iota was organized locally August 16, 1948. Ms. Billie McCameron was the first president.

Our officers for the 2009-2010 year are:

OUR MISSION

Psi Iota Xi is a national charitable organization dedicated to helping others, especially in the fields of speech and hearing, and enriching the world around us.

OUR PURPOSE

The primary purpose of Psi Iota Xi is to be of service with time, money, and love in a cooperative effort with the community. Psi Iota Xi has gained national recognition for its work, especially with children, in the field of speech and hearing. Nationally, Psi Iota Xi donates over one million dollars to philanthropic projects each year.

PSI IOTA XI HISTORY

Psi Iota Xi was founded in 1897 in Muncie, IN and was the first organization of its kind in Indiana. Psi Iota Xi has grown to approximately 135 chapters with over 3,600 active members in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan.
